SEPAC Meeting to Discuss Civil Rights and Special Ed Leadership

AGENDA:

1. Civil Rights CPR and CAP review (45 minutes)
2. Sped Leadership Discussion (organization and job description) (45 minutes)

1. Civil Rights.  Superintendent Kathleen Bodie and District 504 Coordinator Cindy Bouvier will provide information on the district’s findings regarding civil rights/504 procedures and supports for students with disabilities, and the District’s corrective action plan response.  SEPAC will provide input to the CAP.

2.  Special Ed Leadership Discussion.  Dr. Bodie will provide information and see SEPAC input concerning special education leadership structure and job description for the position of director of special education.

All are welcome to attend the SEPAC meetings. The Arlington Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) is comprised of volunteers who dedicate time to act as a resource for parents.  We advise the school committee and district on matters that pertain to the education, health, and safety of students with special needs from ages 3 to 22.  For information about SEPAC please visit our website: arlington.k12.ma.us/sepac.
